This event is open to all governance, risk and compliance professionals from around the world interested in practicing modern governance. Attendees include corporate secretaries, GCs, board secretaries, legal operations, municipal clerks, CIOs, CISOs, internal audit, risk and compliance, IT, ESG, HR, and compensation professionals.
Anyone interested in taking a deep dive into the latest board governance, risk and compliance trends will find the conference beneficial.

When does the conference start and end?
The conference will begin Tuesday, September 14, at 10:00 AM ET with our opening keynote and sessions throughout the afternoon until 2:30 PM ET. The conference continues on Wednesday, September 15 at 10:00 AM ET and concludes at 2:30 PM ET.
When will the final agenda be posted and where can it be found?
The full conference agenda is now available and can be found here on our website. Registrants will have access to all session content on-demand after the event concludes.
What will the agenda include?
The agenda will include 40+ sessions packed with thought leadership, product deep-dives and real-world applications of better governance, risk and compliance, plus attendees will have the chance to learn directly from their peers and build meaningful relationships with fellow governance professionals from across the country. More details on the speakers and sessions will be announced as they are confirmed.
How can I obtain Continuing Education Credit?
The Modern Governance Conference is pleased to announce we will be offering CLE, CPD and CPE credits for attending the event. Continuing Education Credit will be awarded based on the sessions attended at the virtual event. Qualified attendees will receive an email from ceuinstitute.net following the event containing a Credit Submission Link. Attendees must complete the link within 72 business hours to receive their credit. Please also check “junk or spam” for these emails. Following completion of the Credit Submission Link, attendees will receive a Certificate of CLE and CPD via email that will show credits earned. At this time all credits are pending state/board review. Our credit provider, CEU Institute, has applied for the following:
- National Attorney CLE/CPD: up to 2.5 general law and technology hours September 14 and up to 2.0 general law and technology hours September 15
- National Accountant CPE: up to 1.5 hours CPE credit will be available for sessions attended under the "Audit" track
