What is the value in attending?

This event is a unique, once-a-year opportunity bringing together hundreds of governance, risk and compliance professionals across all industries for 2.5 days. You will enjoy customized learning experiences designed to empower you with tools and techniques to make a lasting difference inside your organization. Sessions are packed with thought leadership and real-world applications, plus you will have the chance to learn directly from your peers and build meaningful relationships with GRC professionals from across the world. 

Where can I obtain a justification letter to attend?

Will there be a virtual portion?

This year’s conference is planned to be in-person only at this time.

Who should attend?

This event is open to all governance, risk and compliance professionals from around the world. Attendees include corporate secretaries, general councils, board secretaries, legal operations, paralegals, municipal clerks, CIOs, CISOs, internal audit, risk and compliance, IT, ESG, HR, and compensation professionals. 
Anyone interested in learning more practical applications of how to improve their use of Diligent tools.

Is there a fee to attend?

The fee to attend will be displayed during the registration process, as it varies based on your registration type. To ensure you are paying the lowest fee possible, make sure to register by May 5th for the early-bird registration rate. Registration includes all meals and entertainment. When does the conference start and end?

The conference will begin Wednesday, September 13th, with our hands-on training workshops throughout the afternoon. The conference concludes on Friday, September 15th. 

Where can hotel accommodations be made and what is the cost?

The official conference hotel is the Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. You can book online to receive our group discount. To be eligible for the group rate, you must register by Thursday, August 10. The group rate is $259 USD per night. 
The discounted rate is subject to availability, so we encourage early booking.

Will the conference hotel room rate be extended beyond the conference dates?

Group rates will be extended three days pre- and post-conference and pending availability. 

May guests attend the conference?

Guests above 21 years of age are welcome to join us for the closing reception; however, meals and breakout sessions are limited to registered attendees. 

When will the final agenda be posted and where can it be found?

What will the agenda include?

The agenda will include sessions packed with product deep-dives and real-world applications for better governance, risk and compliance. Attendees will have the chance to learn directly from their peers and build meaningful relationships with fellow governance professionals. More details on the speakers and sessions will be announced as they are confirmed. 

How can I obtain Continuing Education Credit?

The Modern Governance Summit is pleased to announce we will be offering CLE, CPD and CPE credits for attending the event. Continuing Education Credit will be awarded based on the sessions attended during the conference. Qualified attendees will receive an email from CEUInstitute.net following the event containing a Credit Submission Link. Attendees must complete the link within 72 business hours to receive their credit. Please also check “junk or spam” folder for these emails. Following completion of the Credit Submission Link, attendees will receive a Certificate of CLE and CPD via email that will show credits earned.  At this time, all credits are pending state/board review. Our credit provider, CEU Institute, has applied for the following: 

National Attorney CLE/CPD: approximately 15-18 hours for the entire 2.5 day conference 
National Accountant CPE: approximately 15-18 hours for the entire 2.5 day conference 

What is the cancellation policy?

In the case you need to cancel your registration, you can do so by clicking on Already Registered, logging into your registration profile with your confirmation number and clicking on Cancel Registration. You will receive a full refund for your registration if cancelled by August 29. Beginning August 30, no refunds will be provided. 

You will need to cancel your room reservation directly with the Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek.
