For years, the people that make up an organization have been regarded as the company's most important asset. Traditionally, however, boards have had little involvement in talent management beyond the c-suite level. Today, investors want more information about employee development and talent management, particularly with respect to diversity and inclusion. Boards are being asked to address this issue with much more conviction than in the past.
